The first substantial monograph on the artist, Romi Behrens, was published in September 2024.

A Painting Life consists of a foreword by Chris Stephens, director of the Holburne Museum, Bath, a substantial essay by Rachel Rose Smith, specialist on the St Ives School, a short essay by artist and curator, David Ward, and other pieces by Alice Mumford and more friends of the artist.

It also includes high resolution images of over 150 paintings, many of which have not been seen before, and archival photographs that tell the story: Becoming Romi Behrens.
